Daddys here!

Chris arrived home today after an 18 hour straight drive! YAY! We are gearing up to go out for dinner as I type. He will get to be home for one week and I am ecstatic... Carsyn is for sure clinging to his Daddy. So nice to have him home.

Baby #2 officially has a name now :) however, we are not sharing and still have a list of other names in case he makes his debut and the name just does not suit him. I am very certain it will! I will have to write more later - I am actually going to get out of the house!

Good times with great baby!

Its been a great couple of days! Yesterday Carsyn and I ran a bunch of errands and then met Johnny and Melissa at BWW for some wings. Then we came home and my good friend Angie came over. We ate pizza, chocolate cream pie, and watched Saw 3. Only two more to go before Friday! Then this morning my other good friend Angie came over. We sat and chatted while little man cruised around and then went out for lunch. After she left Carsyn and I went to Walmart so I could get my Halloween costume all ready to go. Just a little more work on it and I will be set. Now we are hanging out at home. Carsyn is running around in his footy pjs and I am relaxing on the couch. I am STARVING right now but nothing sounds good. I hate that. After Carsyn goes down I am going to settle in for Saw 4~ with nobody to hold me, scary! Tomorrow I am picking up my mom. We will then go meet Chris's mom in Hinkley to hand Carsyn over to her for the weekend. We will have dinner with her and then head on over to the casino for some mother daughter fun. Friday is back to work but its a short day. I am only working four hours so I can go Saw 6 opening night with my friend Johnny! (hence the sudden rush of Saw movies in my life right now) I haven't gotten to talk to Chris much lately but as you can see have been able to keep myself busy!

ITS A BOY!

I have been very busy working lately so haven't had an opportunity to make any new posts! Chris is very busy down in Georgia! I am excited to see that sexy Army bod when he gets home :) Bonus! haha. I have been working a lot of overtime. I am coming off of the road finally in two weeks!! Yay! I will be the newest dispatcher for a while! The best part... I get to wear normal clothes to work! My belly has really popped in the last week causing my duty belt to really make my tummy ache. And of course... How could I forget... we had our big appointment a week ago and, Another Boy! The nurse put the pic up on the screen and asked, can you tell what it is? I was like - are you kidding me? Thats a BoY! We are very excited! I think we have at least one name picked out be we aren't sharing :) I have started using my elliptical every day and so far can happily report I am still down 2 pounds from my start weight. I know, this won't last much longer!

This just in: Vikings defeat Packers

Today was my first day back to work since Chris left. My mom is now here. I work a six on three off schedule. She is going to come to my house and watch Carsyn three of those days and take him to her house the other three. She lives an hour away so its the best compromise! Plus, its very nice having a few days off to sleep in and have no baby duties, as well as have someone else around the house for a few days. Doing pretty good. Chris and I never see each other our six days on anyways so it doesn't seem any different.

Chris has been pretty busy it seems like. They haven't really got into doing anything yet but it has been difficult to sit down and have a conversation. A lot of that is because it is an hour ahead there and he has to be awake at 0400 so he goes to bed super early. I will keep you updated on what he is upto.

In MN sports news I was happy to watch my beloved Vikings woop up on the Packer Backers!!! Aaaah, such a glorious day!

Carsyn has been a very good boy! We are trying to introduce him to the potty. He is only 15 months so we don't expect him to be potty trained any time soon but hoping when we do it will make the learning easier.

Day 1

Chris left late last night. He stopped early this morning for a quick one hour nap but has been driving straight. He planned to stop in Nashville and get a hotel for ten hours of quick relaxation and some sleep before continuing on. He is making much better time and has been surprisingly not very tired so he is gonna trek on until he is just three hours from his destination. Will be easier for him to relax knowing he is that close. He has to be at Fort Benning (sp) in Georgia at noon tomorrow.

Day one is confusing. Carsyn played most of the morning while I sat on the couch confused as to what I should do with my time. I have been searching the internet for fun things to do in the area with a 15 month old. It would be much easier if he were a little older. Any suggestions? Only thing I have come up with so far is swimming at the Community Center - however - being 4 1/2 months pregnant I have no interest in putting on a swimsuit. We went out for lunch with some friends. I was impressed with how well he behaved. Then we went to the grocery store which was sad. I didn't know what to buy! I caught myself a couple times thinking "oh Chris would like this" or "Chris is out of that". Carsyn relaxed and ate cheesy popcorn. He has been so good all day!

Carsyn passed out on the car ride home. It must be hard work being the man of the house! My friend's 12 year old son, Dylan, is coming over to spend the night. They help out a lot babysitting when Chris and I want to have a date so I was more then happy to help them out. Besides... he is a super good kid!

For those of you who do not know our story....

My husband Chris and I have been married for a year now. He and I work together as Deputy Sheriffs in Minnesota. We have a 15month old son, Carsyn, and a 14month old puppy named Eddie. We are expecting our second and last baby on March 4, 2010. My husband is a 2nd Lt in the Army National Guard. A wrist injury he sustained in the Army postponed some of his training for two years. After a long battle with the Army to take responsibility for the injury he finally got surgery and is ready for training. He will be gone for two months in Georgia, and return for a week over Thanksgiving. He will then head to Missouri for four months of more training. He will get to come home for Christmas. After that we are hoping he will be able to make it home for the birth of our baby. He will be home and his training will be complete March 30th. With all the free time on my hands I decided to chronicle my experience as an "army wife".
